Canucks failed to advance to the Western Conference finals.

The seventh game of the second round (best of four) of the Western Conference of the NHL Playoffs (PO) between the Vancouver Canucks and the Edmonton Oilers was held at Rogers Arena in Vancouver on May 20. The Oilers scored three goals in the second period to lead the Canucks 3-0.

However, the Canucks also scored goals in the third period from Connor Garland and Filip Ronek, bringing the score to within one point. The Canucks then benched goalkeeper Arters Sirobs two minutes before the end of the game and went on a fierce offensive with six players in full attack mode. However, they were unable to catch up.

The Canucks’ main striker Brock Boeser was absent that day due to symptoms of blood clots. The second round of the PO was a back-and-forth affair. The Canucks won the first game, but neither team had a winning streak until the seventh game, with wins and losses alternating.

In the sixth game, the Oilers defeated the Canucks 5-1 in Edmonton, forcing the seventh game. The Canucks were unable to take advantage of their home advantage, losing consecutive games in the end and being eliminated from the second round with a record of 3-4.
