\nIn 2019, the total production of Canadian minerals was $48.2 billion, with three provinces, Quebec, Ontario, and British Columbia producing $30.2 billion, or 63% of the total production.
\nIn particular, the recent rapid growth of the electric vehicle market is increasing demand for lithium, cobalt, nickel, and graphite as major raw materials (minerals) for secondary batteries, which are core components.
